Mathematics Teacher

Monarch Education are working with a Secondary School based in Cowley who are looking for a Mathematics Teacher to begin in September 2024, on a full-time basis. This position will lead to a permanent contract, should you be successful in your temporary contract.

The school have recently converted to an academy and with this, have had a full school renovation. The building is modernised with access to a bank of new resources.

You will be paid according to your position on the Main Pay Scale (MPS1 to MPS6), the successful applicant must have QTS – you are not required to be a specialist in Maths. The school are willing to consider applications from Teachers looking to transition into Mathematics teaching.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• To create a supportive and stimulating learning environment in the classroom that helps all students make excellent progress
• To actively promote and uphold all school policies
• To lead and monitor the assessments and feedback to students in line with the whole school and department policy
• To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated Maths curriculum for those working at Foundation Stage
• To identify clear, appropriate targets for attainment and / or achievement across the subject

Qualifications, Training and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status

Skills and Knowledge:

• Knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet children’s needs
• Knowledge of inclusive practice
• Knowledge of planning, assessing, monitoring and evaluation
