Monarch Education is working in collaboration with an academy in Salford that requires a Mathematics Teacher. They are currently using supply to fill this role, so they are looking for someone for an immediate start. The school will consider ECT applications.

This is a very large secondary school, which was rated GOOD in its most recent Ofsted report. It is part of a large trust, so you would be joining a well-established school with knowledgeable faculty and dedicated leadership. The school provides wrap-around support to help the right applicant adjust to the new role.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Available five days a week, full-time hours.
  • QTS and QTLS applicants only
  • Must hold a mathematics degree/similar and have recent teaching experience in their field.
  • Awareness and understanding of the National Curriculum for mathematics across KS3 and KS4
  • ECTs are welcome to apply.
  • British-trained teachers and overseas-trained teachers who have the eligibility to work in the UK will be considered

The Successful Candidate:

  • Able to build strong positive relationships with colleagues and students alike
  • Possess a practical understanding of effective strategies for teaching and learning and evaluation of these
  • Maintain a high level and standard of subject-specific knowledge to support the delivery of the curriculum.
  • Will carry out intervention and support for underachieving students.
  • Perform rigorous assessment of student progress, target setting, and record keeping.
  • Respond positively to young people’s needs and seek out innovative ways of engaging with them
  • Ability to promote a positive ethos and role model positive attributes
