Maths / Science Teacher

Monarch Education are working with a well-established Alternative Provision in the Handsworth area to recruit a full-time, permanent Maths & Science Teacher.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and passionate teacher looking to make a genuine impact on young people’s lives. The successful candidate will teach both Maths and Science up to GCSE level, supporting students who may have faced barriers to mainstream education and helping them achieve positive outcomes.

The setting offers small class sizes, a supportive leadership team and the opportunity to focus on what matters most: building relationships, raising aspirations and helping students succeed.

The Role:

• Teaching Maths and Science up to GCSE level
• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
• Adapting learning to meet individual student needs
• Supporting students with SEMH, behavioural or additional learning needs
• Tracking progress and helping students achieve qualifications
• Creating a positive and structured learning environment
• Working closely with pastoral and support teams

The Ideal Candidate:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Can confidently teach both Maths and Science to GCSE level
• Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Is skilled at building positive relationships with students
• Has experience working with challenging or vulnerable learners
• Is patient, resilient and committed to improving outcomes
• Alternative Provision, SEMH or SEND experience would be advantageous
