We are working with a school located in North Manchester who are seeking a Maths Teacher to begin work in January 2025.

Requirements for this role are as follows:

  • Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Ability to teach Maths up to GCSE Level.
  • A passion for problem solving and helping children achieve.

The school is looking to appoint a teacher who is able to develop students numerical ability, as well as help children with additional needs achieve their target grades. It is essential that the required applicant has outstanding knowledge when it comes to GCSE expectations. Being able to create and maintain a positive learning atmosphere is imperative.

Other key requirements of this role include:

  • Setting engaging homework tasks that consolidate learning.
  • Working with the schools support staff team to identify students who would benefit from extended support (1:1, small groups etc)
  • Providing regular feedback on student performance to students, parents and Subject/Senior leaders when necessary.
  • Maintaing school behaviour policy al all times, ensuring that pupils remain focused and on task within the classroom.
  • Encouraging collaborative learning when necessary, using innovative teaching methods to bolster student understanding.

As Maths is generally a subject that many students struggle wit, it is essential that the applicant is able to offer consistent support to pupils who have problems with understanding work set.

The school is located in North Manchester and benefits from having a wide range of public transport links within close proximity of the school site. This includes Tram, Bus and Train.
