Monarch Education is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated QTS Maths Teacher to join one of our partner secondary schools for the September 2026 start. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and motivate students, helping them build confidence and a strong understanding of mathematics within a supportive and successful department.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and high‑quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress through a variety of assessment methods.
  • Develop differentiated resources and schemes of work that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Create a positive classroom culture that encourages problem‑solving, resilience, and collaboration.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and digital tools to support student learning and progress.
  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and whole‑school initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support academic and personal growth.
  • Engage in ongoing CPD and reflective practice to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Previous experience teaching Maths at secondary level is desirable (ECTs welcome).
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour‑management skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to support students of varying abilities.
  • Confident using digital learning tools and mathematical resources.
