Monarch Education are currently supporting a secondary school in Sutton Coldfield who are looking to appoint an MFL Teacher for a full-time role starting in September.

This is a long-term opportunity with potential to become permanent, ideal for someone looking to build consistency, take ownership of classes, and make a real impact.

The role focuses on delivering French and Spanish across KS3 and KS4. The school are keen to bring in someone who can keep lessons engaging and accessible, build confidence in speaking and writing, and create a classroom where students are comfortable taking part.

You’ll be part of a supportive department and expected to contribute to planning, assessment, and student progress across MFL.

Day to day, you can expect to:

  • Deliver KS3 and KS4 French & Spanish lessons
  • Drive student engagement through speaking and interaction
  • Support written work and exam preparation
  • Plan lessons with clear structure
  • Prepare students for assessments and GCSE content
  • Manage behaviour in line with school policy
  • Work closely with colleagues to maintain consistency

To be considered, you’ll need:

  • QTS
  • Experience teaching MFL in a secondary setting
  • Ability to teach both French and Spanish
  • Strong curriculum knowledge at KS3 and KS4
  • Confident classroom management
  • Good organisation and communication
  • A reliable, professional approach
