Monarch Education are recruiting Midday Supervisors to support primary schools across Chesterfield from September 2026.

These roles are perfect for individuals looking for part time work during school hours and who enjoy working with children. As a Midday Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring pupils have a safe, positive and enjoyable lunchtime experience.

Whether you have previous experience working with children or are looking to begin a career within education, we would love to hear from enthusiastic and proactive individuals who can build positive relationships with pupils and confidently take initiative when needed.

About the Role

You will supervise pupils during the lunchtime period, supporting both indoor and outdoor activities while promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.

Schools are looking for individuals who can actively engage with pupils, encourage positive social interaction and help create a calm and inclusive environment where children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise pupils during lunch breaks

Encourage safe play and positive interactions

Support behaviour and wellbeing

Assist with transitions back into the classroom

Respond to incidents and report concerns where needed

Work closely with school staff to maintain consistency

Promote a positive and enjoyable lunchtime experience

Requirements

Experience working with children or within a childcare setting is desirable but not essential

A proactive and energetic approach

Ability to engage positively with children and build rapport

Calm, patient and approachable manner

Ability to manage behaviour in a positive way

Reliable and punctual

Good communication skills

Willingness to work as part of a team
