Monarch Education are looking to recruit Lunchtime Supervisors to work across primary schools in Alfreton from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking part time work during school hours who enjoy working with children and making a positive contribution to the school day.
We are particularly interested in candidates who are confident, approachable and proactive, with the ability to engage positively with pupils and support a safe and enjoyable lunchtime environment.
As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing pupils during lunch breaks, both inside the school and on the playground.
You will encourage positive behaviour, support children with social interactions and help ensure pupils return to the classroom settled and ready to learn.
Monitor pupils during lunch and playtimes
Promote positive behaviour and safe play
Support pupil wellbeing and social development
Assist with playground activities and supervision
Respond appropriately to incidents and communicate concerns
Work closely with teaching and support staff
Help maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment
Previous experience working with children or in a childcare setting is advantageous but not essential
Positive and proactive attitude
Ability to engage and communicate effectively with children
Patient, friendly and approachable manner
Reliable and punctual
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
