Nursery Nurse

Monarch Education is seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner with SEND specialism to join a nurturing nursery school in Northfield.

This is an exciting opportunity for a caring and experienced practitioner to work in a supportive environment, helping young children with additional needs to develop and thrive. The ideal candidate will have a recognised Early Years qualification (minimum Level 3) and experience working with children with SEND.

This role is term-time only, aligning with school hours, providing a fantastic work-life balance while making a positive impact on children’s early development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the developmental needs of children with SEND within the nursery setting
• Plan and deliver inclusive, engaging activities tailored to individual needs
• Foster a safe, caring, and stimulating environment that promotes learning and development
• Work collaboratively with SENCOs, parents, and external professionals to support children’s progress
• Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development
• Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and any support provided
• Encourage independence and confidence in each child

Candidate Requirements:

• Recognised Early Years qualification, minimum Level 3 (e.g., CACHE Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent)
• Experience working with children with SEND in a nursery or early years setting
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
• Compassionate, proactive, and flexible approach
• Commitment to inclusive practices and supporting children with additional needs
