Salary: £120 – £150 per day – however this is dependent on teaching qualifications and experience

Contract: Full-time, temporary

Although the job is Temporary, through Monarch Education to begin with. Most likely, you will be offered a permanent job at the end of the contract.

This role will be full time (Mon – Fri) from 8:30 a.m – 3:30 p.m, term time only.

What is the role available?

You would be working in an alternative provision primary school. In addition to traditional teaching methods, you’ll be immersing students in interactive learning experiences outdoors, as well as guiding students in arts and crafts, music, and other sensory-based activities tailored to their needs. Key Responsibilities:

As a Nursery Teacher, you will play a crucial role in the development and well-being of our students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and implementing engaging and tailored lesson plans that meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Maintaining a structured and supportive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional growth.
  • Offering one-on-one and group support to help students develop essential life skills and social-emotional competencies.
  • Acting as a mentor and role model for both students and TAs, fostering a culture of respect, kindness, and learning.
  • Working closely with the school’s leadership team to assess and monitor student progress.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young adults in an educational or leadership capacity is essential.
  • A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
  • The ability to maintain a firm but fair approach, creating a structured and nurturing classroom environment.
  • An empathetic and patient attitude, along with the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • While Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is not required, it would be advantageous.
  • A valid DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to obtain one through Monarch Education.
  • Availability to work full-time (Monday to Friday) during term time only.

Your application will be subject to an enhanced child only DBS and two educational references, so it is essential that you have previous experience of working in an Education Setting.
