Nursery Teaching Assistant

Monarch Education are currently working with a Primary School in the Selly Oak area of Birmingham to find an experienced Nursery Teaching Assistant to start ASAP until the end of July but possibly longer. This role is full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm. The school will consider someone who can only work 4 days a week.

Requirements of applicant:

  • UK Level 3 Minimum Qualification in Childcare or Education
  • Sound knowledge of the Primary / EYFS National Curriculum
  • Experienced working with children in an EYFS Setting
  • Experienced supporting children with diagnosed and undiagnosed SEND
  • Confident providing personal care to children where necessary

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting children of EYFS age in the schools nursery
  • Provide regular feedback to parents and senior staff on the progress of the pupil
  • Follow policies and procedures in line with safeguarding and child protection guidelines
  • Ensure children with identified and unidentified SEND needs are kept up to speed with the rest of the class
  • Help children to meet their Early Stages of Development targets

Salary: £9.64 – £14.88 per hour (Reviewed after 12 weeks placement*)
