Part Time SEND Teaching Staff

£83.33 – £220 a day (Depending on experience)

Part Time 8:30am-3:30pm

We are excited to partner with SEND schools in Birmingham to recruit dedicated and experienced teaching staff who share our passion for supporting students with complex learning needs and profound and multiple learning disabilities. As a valued member of our team, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of these exceptional students.

While formal teaching qualifications are not necessary, some education experience is essential. If you have a background in working with children or adults with SEND, profound and multiple learning difficulties, or a related field such as psychology or education, we’d love to hear from you.

Requirements:

  • Some experience working with students with SEND or profound and multiple learning difficulties.
  • Experience working in a school or education-based setting is preferred but not essential.
  • A knowledge of PMLD, ASC, BSL, or Makaton would be highly beneficial.
  • A good understanding of the National Curriculum in schools

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and other professionals involved in their education.
  • Patience and empathy to understand the unique needs and challenges faced by students with special needs.
  • Knowledge of various learning strategies and accommodations to support students with different disabilities.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
