About the Role
As a Pastoral Administrator, you will be at the heart of the school’s wellbeing support system, playing a vital role in the day‑to‑day running of the pastoral team. Your responsibilities will include managing student records, supporting behaviour and attendance processes, handling sensitive safeguarding information, and ensuring pastoral systems run seamlessly throughout the school.
But beyond the admin, this role is about people.
The main aim is to help ensure students feel safe, welcomed, and genuinely supported from the moment they walk through the door. You’ll become a calm, steady presence-someone who can help students take a breath and step back when things feel overwhelming. Many of our young people face challenging or traumatic home lives, and your warmth, patience, and consistency can make all the difference in setting them up for the brightest possible future.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the pastoral team
- Maintain accurate student records, reports, and safeguarding documentation
- Assist with behaviour tracking, referrals, and communication with staff
- Support attendance monitoring and follow-up processes
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
- Liaise with students, families, and staff regarding pastoral matters
- Support the coordination of pastoral interventions and meetings
- Ensure effective communication across pastoral and safeguarding teams

- Strong administrative experience (school setting preferred but not essential)
- Excellent organisation, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
