Reception Teacher

Monarch Education are recruiting for a Reception Teacher for a school within the Birmingham area, this is on a long-term basis starting from September. With this opportunity you have the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of the students. The school are seeking an individual who is confident in communicating and interacting with young people and supporting them with their social, emotional, and mental health needs as well as their physical needs.

Job Description:

  • Delivering exceptional teaching and learning experiences to KS1 students.
  • Be approachable, supportive, understanding and prioritise the wellbeing of the students.
  • Inspire, challenge and motivate the children, staff, managers and parents
  • Have the passion to promote a supportive, secure and happy environment for all.
  • Plan effective lessons that promote high quality teaching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborating effectively with the class teacher and fellow Teaching Assistants to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Providing one-on-one and group support to students
  • Assisting with behaviour management, applying your skills to create a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere.
  • Supporting students in developing essential life skills and independence as they transition to adulthood.

The Ideal Candidate/Qualifications:

  • Must hold QTS qualification
  • Experience in teaching
  • Knowledge of the nation curriculum and strong classroom management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong desire and passion for teaching and making a positive impact.
