Monarch Education are currently recruiting for Primary School Teaching Assistants in Redditch. The school are seeking individuals who are confident in communicating and interacting with young people as well as helping them with their everyday needs.

Job Description:

• Plan and teach lessons with small groups of students, groups or individuals (if necessary)
• Prepare teaching materials passed on from the classroom teacher.
• Ability to manage behaviour and talk to parents and carers when needed.
• Take part in after school activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborating effectively with the class teacher and fellow Teaching Assistants to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
• Providing one-on-one and group support to students
• Assisting with behaviour management, applying your skills to create a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere.
• Supporting students in developing essential life skills and independence as they transition to adulthood.

The Ideal Candidate/Qualifications:

• Will have previous experience as a teaching assistant or within a similar role.
• A relevant qualification in education or special educational needs is desirable.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to create a supportive learning environment with students.
• Has a patient and empathetic approach whilst working with the children.
