Primary Teacher KS1

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a warm, supportive primary school in Edgbaston, Birmingham. This is a full-time role available immediately, continuing through to the end of the academic year in July 2026.

What We’re Looking For

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
• Experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1
• Strong understanding of phonics (e.g., Read Write Inc., Letters and Sounds, or equivalent)
• Ability to create an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Someone adaptable, proactive, and committed to pupil development

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the Year 1 curriculum
• Support children’s social, emotional, and academic growth
• Track progress and maintain accurate assessments
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider staff
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers
• Contribute positively to the school community
