Key Stage 2 Class Teacher – Primary

Area: Banbury, Oxfordshire

Salary: £130- 150 p/day (Agency working regulations to apply post 12 weeks)

Start date: ASAP

Hours of work: Full Time/ Part Time

Are you a Primary Teacher in the Banbury, Oxfordshire area looking for either a long term role or flexibility? Monarch Education are recruiting for a Key Stage 2 Qualified Teacher. The role is teaching in Key Stage 2 and experience within this age group would be advantageous although not essential. The schools we support strive to create a friendly, supportive working environment for staff which in turn creates a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment for their pupils.

The ideal candidate will:

  • QTS or QTLS
  • Have the ability and knowledge to teach primary school pupils
  • Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children from all needs and backgrounds
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Understand the expectations against the Teachers Standards

Main Responsibilities:

  • Teaching a variety of subjects to primary pupils
  • Planning lessons and activities for whole class learning and group learning
  • Supporting SEND children with their work in a class setting
  • Managing difficult behaviours and implementing the school behaviour policy
  • Safeguarding vulnerable pupils
  • Possible supervising on lunch and break times
  • Supporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroom
  • Building relationships with staff and pupils
  • Collecting evidence of pupils work to support their assessments
  • Feedback to the relevant member of staff about the pupils progress
  • To have pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils
  • Potentially lead in a subject area
  • Ensure a team approach to education with stakeholders such as parents and carers
