Are you a dedicated and flexible QTS-qualified teacher looking for a role that provides variety and an excellent work-life balance? We are seeking enthusiastic QTS Supply Teachers to support a range of secondary schools in Frome. We welcome teachers from all subject specialisms who can deliver engaging, well-managed cover with professionalism and confidence.

Supply teaching offers a fantastic opportunity to experience different school environments, broaden your skill set, and enjoy a varied weekly timetable-without the additional pressures associated with permanent roles. Secondary schools across Frome are well regarded for their supportive staff teams, inclusive cultures, and strong commitment to academic and personal development. With well-structured departments, robust safeguarding and pastoral systems, and a focus on student engagement, these schools provide motivating and fulfilling environments for both learners and teachers.

About the Role

As a QTS Supply Teacher, you will deliver well-prepared and engaging lessons to classes across KS3 and KS4, adapting to a variety of subjects depending on your experience and the needs of each school. You will support students in achieving their best by maintaining positive routines, creating purposeful learning environments, and ensuring continuity in the absence of their usual teacher.

  • Encourage positive behaviour, motivation, and a strong attitude toward learning
  • Provide subject-specific or general classroom support where needed
  • Contribute to an inclusive and welcoming school culture
  • Uphold high professional standards in classroom management, communication, and safeguarding

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and experience teaching in secondary settings
