Monarch Education are recruiting a full time RE Teacher to join their team on a long term basis. This school is located in Swindon and is a full time ongoing post, there is an expectation for marking and doing some planning but MUST have good strong classroom management and behaviour management skill

As a Religious Education Teacher, you will help students to recognise and understand religious diversity as well as non-religious beliefs and the importance of this in our society. You will be working with students across KS3 and KS4, so a good understanding of the RE curriculum is essential.

Some of your responsibilities will include (but are not limited too):

  • Planning, developing and delivering high quality lessons to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Monitor students’ progress and maintain student assessment records.
  • Be immediately responsible for the processes of identification, assessment and records of your students.
  • Being familiar with statutory assessments.
  • Contributing to the department’s improvement plan and its implementation.
  • Using data on pupil’s performance to inform target setting.
  • Preparing and updating subject materials.

You will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor of Education / PGCE / or equivalent teaching degree.
  • Experience or knowledge teaching Religious Education.
  • Classroom experience of teaching Key stages 3-5.
