Reception Teaching Assistant

Monarch Education are currently working alongside a Primary School in the Stechford area of Birmingham to find an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team until the end of the academic year. This position will involve working in a Reception Classroom with children with challenging behaviour. This is a full time role starting ASAP until the end of July 2024.

Requirements of applicant:

  • A Childcare/Education Qualification is preferred
  • Confident managing children with challenging behaviour
  • Experienced supporting children with challenging behaviour
  • Strong individual who is confident adapting to different educational settings

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all children in the reception class are kept engaged by their learning
  • Create a safe learning environment for the pupil and other pupils in the class
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues on the progress of the pupil
  • Work alongside the class teacher to promote positive behaviour amongst the class
  • Follow policies and procedures in line with safeguarding and child protection guidelines

Salary: £58.89 – £90 per day (Reviewed after 12 weeks placement*)
