About the Role

We are seeking a committed and proactive Safeguarding Officer to join our school community in Birmingham. This role is vital in fostering a caring and supportive learning environment, ensuring the welfare and safety of all pupils in line with statutory safeguarding requirements.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a talented individual with experience in pastoral care and safeguarding. Your ability to build strong relationships and act decisively will place learners’ welfare at the heart of the school.

You will have:

  • Valid Child Protection Training.
  • Experience managing relationships with pupils, parents, and key agencies such as Children’s Social Care, Early Help, CSE Risk Assessments, and Drug & Alcohol Teams.
  • Experience completing referrals to relevant agencies and implementing safeguarding interventions.
  • The ability to monitor and create targeted interventions for key pupils.
  • Strong report-writing skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, alongside a commitment to teamwork and customer service.
