We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and committed Science Teacher to join a forward‑thinking secondary school in North Birmingham. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for a teacher who is passionate about delivering high‑quality Science lessons and supporting students in achieving strong outcomes across KS3 and KS4.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and well‑structured lessons across the Science curriculum (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) at KS3 and KS4.
  • Plan and adapt teaching to ensure excellent progress for learners of varying abilities.
  • Use assessment and data to inform teaching practice and targeted intervention.
  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and practical science provision.
  • Maintain a safe, well-organised laboratory environment aligned with health & safety procedures.
  • Participate in wider school activities and contribute to whole‑school initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Strong subject knowledge in at least one Science specialism, with confidence teaching across all three disciplines at KS3/4.
  • Effective classroom management and the ability to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm in Science.
  • A reflective practitioner committed to professional growth and department collaboration.
  • Experience in a secondary school setting preferred, though strong ECTs are welcome to apply.
