Monarch Education is seeking a Science Teacher to support a secondary school in Salford. The role involves delivering the Science curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Role Responsibilities

  • Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics following curriculum guidelines
  • Plan and deliver lessons in line with departmental schemes of work
  • Mark and assess pupil work using school policies and assessment frameworks
  • Record and monitor pupil progress and report to relevant staff
  • Manage behaviour according to school behaviour systems
  • Attend departmental meetings, training sessions and whole‑school commitments
  • Contribute to exam preparation and revision activities where required
  • Support pastoral processes relevant to the assigned classes or year groups

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level
  • Knowledge of KS3 and KS4 Science curriculum requirements
  • Ability to follow departmental planning and contribute to curriculum delivery
  • Strong ICT skills for lesson preparation, assessment and tracking
  • Commitment to safeguarding and compliance with school policies
