Monarch Education is seeking a Science Teacher to support a secondary school in Salford. The role involves delivering the Science curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Role Responsibilities
- Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics following curriculum guidelines
- Plan and deliver lessons in line with departmental schemes of work
- Mark and assess pupil work using school policies and assessment frameworks
- Record and monitor pupil progress and report to relevant staff
- Manage behaviour according to school behaviour systems
- Attend departmental meetings, training sessions and whole‑school commitments
- Contribute to exam preparation and revision activities where required
- Support pastoral processes relevant to the assigned classes or year groups
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Science at secondary level
- Knowledge of KS3 and KS4 Science curriculum requirements
- Ability to follow departmental planning and contribute to curriculum delivery
- Strong ICT skills for lesson preparation, assessment and tracking
- Commitment to safeguarding and compliance with school policies
