Monarch Education is seeking an enthusiastic and committed QTS Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school team for the September 2026 start. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to inspire learners across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons within a supportive and forward-thinking department.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) that stimulate curiosity and support strong academic progress.
  • Assess and monitor student achievement through classwork, homework, assessments, and constructive feedback.
  • Develop schemes of work that support differentiated learning and challenge all abilities.
  • Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages scientific enquiry, resilience, and collaboration.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and technologies to enhance student engagement and understanding.
  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and wider school initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff to support academic and pastoral development.
  • Participate in CPD and professional learning to build subject knowledge and teaching practice.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A relevant Science degree (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or combined field).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level is preferred (ECTs welcome).
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour-management skills.
  • Ability to differentiate effectively for diverse learning needs.
  • Confidence in using digital tools and practical resources to enhance lessons.
