Monarch Education is seeking to recruit a dedicated Science Teacher to work in a Bolton-based Academy!

Monarch Education is representing a school that requires a Science Teacher from mid-September. The school will consider ECT applications. This is a large secondary school with a strong ethos of hard work and excellent standards of education. They work hard to create a warm, friendly, and supportive working environment for both staff and pupils. The school ideally require an individual that has experience teaching general Science to KS3 and KS4. They were rated GOOD in their last Ofsted report and have good senior management and a supportive network for ECT’s.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Available 5 days a week, full-time hours.
  • Must hold a science degree or have recent teaching experience in their field
  • Prior experience teaching general science to KS3 and KS4 preferred
  • Awareness and understanding of the National Curriculum for science across KS3 and KS4
  • QTS and QTLS applicants only
  • ECTs are welcome to apply
  • British trained teachers and overseas trained teachers who have eligibility to work in the UK will be considered

The Successful Candidate:

  • Able to build strong positive relationships with colleagues and students alike
  • Possess practical understanding of effective strategies for teaching and learning and evaluation of these
  • Maintain a high level and standard of subject specific knowledge to support the delivery of the curriculum.
  • Will carry out intervention and support for underachieving students.
  • Perform rigorous assessment of student progress, target setting and record keeping.
  • Respond positively to young people’s needs and seek out innovative ways of engaging with them
  • Ability to promote a positive ethos and role model positive attributes
