A busy school in the heart of South Birmingham are looking for a keen scientist to join their team science department. The school are seeking someone who is ready to start as soon as possible and can work effectively in a school environment.

Job Description:

  • Supporting both students and science teachers throughout the day
  • Setting up equipment for practical lessons
  • Ensuring that the students are using the apparatus accurately and safely
  • Keep the lab clean, tidy and organised
  • Able to manage the stock control of chemicals and equipment
  • Assisting with any laboratory work and administration tasks

The ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate will have good IT skills, enjoy science and practical work and be familiar with modern scientific laboratory techniques.

Previous experience of working in a school laboratory is desirable but not essential
