A large secondary school is recruiting for a Key Stage 3 & 4 Qualified Teacher. This school is graded as ‘Good’ and had outstanding feedback for management and leadership. The school strives to create a friendly, supportive working environment for staff which in turn creates a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment for their pupils.

The ideal candidate will:

  • QTS or QTLS
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic
  • Have high expectations of students and what they can achieve
  • Have strong subject knowledge
  • Be a committed team player
  • Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children from all needs and backgrounds
  • Have excellent behaviour management skills
  • Understand the expectations against the Teachers Standards

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Humanities curriculum planning; setting and monitoring of aims and objectives
  • Supporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroom
  • Building relationships with staff and pupils
  • Collecting evidence of pupils work to support their assessments
  • Feedback to the relevant member of staff about the pupils progress
  • Potentially lead in a subject area
  • Deliver subject enrichment activities for learners to consolidate and promote learning in the subject
