SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Erdington

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £105 – £110 per day

Contract Type: Full-time, ongoing

Monarch Education are excited to be working with a school in the Erdington area who are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant.

The specialist school supports young people from year 7 to year 9 helping them go back into mainstream schools.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and dynamic environment, where you will play a vital role in supporting the teacher in tailoring lessons to meet the diverse needs of our students with SEMH.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly assessing individual or a group students progress and identifying areas where they need further support or intervention by the teacher.
  • Communicate with other teachers and SENCo staff to ensure consistent support across subjects and activities.
  • Implement strategies to support students in a 1 -1 or group setting with emotional, behavioural, and social challenges.
  • Support the teacher in delivering active and engaging lessons to students

Requirements:

  • Experience with SEN students
  • Experience in Alternate Provisions
  • Great references on file showing this
