Salary: £140 – £220 per day (paid to scale)

Are you an inspiring and dedicated Art Teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable students with SEN and SEMH? We are currently seeking a passionate individual to join us at Monarch Education and work as a SEN Art Teacher in one of our SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) schools in Worcester.

Job Overview:

As an Art Teacher in one of our SEMH schools, you will have a unique opportunity to inspire and engage students with diverse learning needs. You will create a safe and inclusive space where creativity is encouraged and celebrated. By utilising your expertise and passion for art, you will help students develop their artistic skills, self-expression, and confidence.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging art lessons tailored to the unique needs of students with SEMH requirements.
  • Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Encourage students to explore a range of techniques, materials, and mediums in their artistic process.
  • Support students’ creative growth and personal development through constructive feedback and encouragement
  • Collaborate with other teachers, learning support staff, and therapists to provide a holistic approach to each student’s education.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Art Teacher or unqualified teacher with experience teaching in a SEMH or similar educational setting
  • Experience working with people whop have SEN and preferably those with SEMH needs as well.
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills
  • Passion for working with students with SEN and SEMH needs and a commitment to their well-being and success.
  • Creative, engaging, and inclusive teaching style
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

You will be provided with:

  • Ongoing support for a dedicated, supportive team; including additional training and free CPD from experienced Leaders in Education

  • £200 Referral fee for every member of staff that you recommend to Monarch Education (Terms & Conditions apply)
