Basis: Full-time, temporary

Monarch Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a client school based in the Failsworth area of Oldham (M35) for an SEN TA. The successful applicant will work throughout the school from EYFS to KS2, providing tailored support on a 1:1 and small group basis, sometimes outside of the classroom.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of supporting primary-aged children with Special Educational Needs
  • Is aware of alternative methods of communication with those who struggle with barriers to communication and interaction
  • Is able to effectively communicate with children, parents and the wider school community
  • Is dedicated to working closely with pupils who require significant 1:1 support and is able to foster a relationship of trust
  • Is Level 3 TA qualified or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
  • Has the ability to work as part of a team but can also take initiative and work well independently
  • Has an understanding of the EYFS/National Curriculum
