Job Description

Monarch Education is recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a Special School in Gloucester, Gloucestershire. This full-time role is ideal for someone with a strong background in supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and a range of associated needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support studentswithPMLD and additional needs including:
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties
  • Communication and Interaction Challenges
  • Attachment and Trauma
• Assist with personal care and mobility needs where required
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals
• Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
• Provide consistent emotional and academic support to pupils

Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people with PMLD
• Understanding of sensory and communication needs
• Ability to build positive relationships and manage complex behaviours
• Experience in a Special School or similar setting is highly desirable
