Monarch Education is recruiting a Specialist SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in a mainstream school setting. The role involves providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support, implementing individual support plans, and working with teaching staff to meet pupil needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEND in line with EHCP targets and school policies
  • Assist with lesson delivery and adapt materials when required
  • Provide one‑to‑one and group interventions
  • Record and report on pupil progress
  • Support behavioural and pastoral needs
  • Work with the SENCO, teaching staff, and external agencies
  • Assist with classroom organisation and supervision duties

Requirements

  • Ofqual‑recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification – essential
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school environment
  • Understanding of SEND strategies and support methods
  • Ability to follow support plans and school procedures
  • Ability to communicate with staff, pupils, and parents
