Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant – Resource Base
Location: Birmingham, B8
Contract Type: Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join the Resource Base at a welcoming primary school in the B8 area of Birmingham. This full-time role is ideal for someone with a strong background in SEND and a passion for supporting children with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) within the Resource Base, delivering tailored interventions and learning activities.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual learning plans and EHCP targets.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that promotes independence and emotional wellbeing.
  • Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.
  • Contribute to planning, assessment, and review meetings as part of a collaborative team.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Childcare-related qualification is essential.
  • Previous experience working in a resource base or SEND school setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
