SEND Early Years Learning Support

Solihull, Birmingham
Full Time: Monday – Friday 8:30am-3:30pm

Start : ASAP until July 2025 with the potential to extend

Monarch Education are currently working in partnership with a special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Solihull who are seeking a dedicated SEND Early Years Learning Support Assistant.

This all-age special school caters to students who all have a statement of Special Educational Needs (SEN), primarily focusing on moderate learning difficulties, with the primary need being Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

The Role:

You will be supporting a small class of pupils with mild to moderate special needs some pupils will have undiagnosed learning difficulties and may display developmental delay or be non-verbal. You would be expected to guide children through their educational journey, with the use of sensory toys and engaging activities. Staff are supported and encouraged at a personal and professional level with access to regular training and peer support.

The ideal candidate would have

  • A level 3 qualification relating to childcare
  • Have experience working in a Special Educational Needs School
  • Have extensive knowledge and understanding of autism and SEND
  • Previous experience supporting in Early Years
