Monarch Education is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and proactive 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a primary-aged pupil with behavioural needs at a welcoming school in the BS3 area. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in a child’s school experience.

About the Role

  • Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with behavioural challenges
  • Help maintain a positive, structured learning environment
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and wider school staff
  • Support the child’s academic, social, and emotional development
  • Implement behaviour strategies and personalised support plans
  • Encourage positive choices, resilience, and independence

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children with behavioural needs (desirable but not essential)
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Someone adaptable and able to respond to challenging situations
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
