SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1) – Year 4 – Bradley Stoke

Monarch Education is seeking a patient, enthusiastic, and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil at a welcoming primary school in Bradley Stoke. This is a rewarding role where you’ll play a key part in helping a child grow in confidence, independence, and academic progress.

About the Role

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 4 child who requires additional assistance
  • Help the pupil access the curriculum through adapted activities and individualised strategies
  • Support emotional regulation, communication, and focused learning
  • Build a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and wider school staff
  • Encourage positive behaviours and engagement through supportive, consistent strategies
  • Contribute to a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children with additional needs (desirable but not essential)
  • A calm, resilient, and supportive approach
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the child’s needs
  • A proactive and reliable attitude
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
