Monarch Education are recruiting for a SEND Learning Support Assistant for a school in Northfield to work with a child on a 1:1 basis. With this opportunity you have the chance to make a positive impact on the lives of the student. The client is seeking an individual who is confident in communicating and interacting with young people and supporting them with their social, emotional, and mental health needs as well as their physical needs.

Job Description:

  • Managing challenging behaviour
  • Ability to talk to parents and carers when needed.
  • Taking an interest in and supporting the wellbeing of students both physically and mentally
  • Plan and teach lessons with individuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing one-on-one support to students with SEND needs.
  • Assisting with behaviour management, applying your skills to create a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere.
  • Supporting students in developing essential life skills and independence as they transition to adulthood.

Your application will be subject to an enhanced child only DBS and two educational references, so it is essential that you have previous experience of working in an Education Setting.
