SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1) – Year 4 – Brislington

Monarch Education is seeking a caring, proactive, and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil at a welcoming primary school in the Brislington area. This is a rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference to a child’s learning, confidence, and wellbeing.

About the Role

Work 1:1 with a Y4 child who requires additional support
Assist with classroom learning, emotional regulation, and daily routines
Follow individual education and support plans
Adapt tasks and activities to ensure the child can fully access the curriculum
Use positive behaviour strategies to encourage engagement and independence
Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and wider staff team
Help create a calm, supportive, and structured learning environment

Experience supporting children with additional needs or behavioural challenges (desirable)
A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
Ability to adapt and respond calmly to changing needs
A proactive, reliable, and compassionate attitude
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
