Salary: £75-£100 p/day (pay varies depending on experience)

Hours of work: 35 hours p/week (8:30am – 3:30pm)

Start date: Immediate

Monarch Education, part of Affinity Workforce, are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in an SEND school in the Rugby area. The candidate will be supporting learners with ADHD, Complex ASC, PMLD and other additional needs. Experience working in a school setting is not essential, just a natural affinity with children and a willingness to learn and adapt.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with young people
  • Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children
  • Have good behaviour management skills
  • Have experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable not essential)
  • Have knowledge of Braille (desirable not essential)
  • Preferably speak Arabic
  • Have experience dealing with Visually Impaired students

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher
  • Supporting during lessons/school activities
  • Managing difficult behaviours
  • Delivering 1:1 support
  • Collecting evidence of the child’s work to support their assessment
