SEND Nursery Nurse

Monarch Education are currently working alongside a Nursery School in the Northfield area to find an experienced SEND Nursery Nurse to start in September 2024 until at least Christmas. This role would involve working in the SEND inclusion of the Nursery School with children with a range of diagnosed and undiagnosed SEND needs. The setting are looking for someone with experience with SEND in Early Years to join there growing team of practitioners. This role is Wednesday, Thursday and Friday’s 9am – 3pm.

Requirements of applicant:

  • UK Level 3 Minimum Qualification in Early Years or Childcare
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS and SEND National Curriculum’s
  • Experienced working with children aged 0-5 years old
  • Experienced supporting children with Autism, ADHD, Learning Difficulties and other SEND needs
  • Confident providing personal care to children where necessary

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working in the SEND Inclusion area of a nursery school, supporting children aged 2-4 years old
  • Provide regular feedback to parents and senior staff on the progress of the pupil
  • Follow policies and procedures in line with safeguarding and child protection guidelines
  • Promote an environment of acceptance and inclusion for all children in your care
  • Help children to meet their Early Stages of Development targets
  • Work with external professionals to ensure all children with undiagnosed SEND receive the most accurate diagnosis

Salary: £9.06 – £14.88 per hour (Reviewed after 12 weeks placement*)
