SEND Secondary Teaching Assistant (Pupil Referral Unit)

Salary: £62 – £96 per day

Job Type: Full time – Temporary

Start Date : ASAP

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 15:30pm

Monarch Education is working with a SEND Secondary School in Coventry to recruit for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work with children aged 11 to 16 with Special Educational Needs in a Pupil Referral Unit on a full time basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting young people in the classroom and out on group activities
  • Helping children settling into a new class and establishing routines
  • School-based experienced is NOT essential. Candidates with transferable experience/knowledge are welcome to apply.

Ideal Candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children and young people with additional needs
  • Calm, nurturing and patient approach
  • Be versatile and resilient in varying situations
  • Have knowledge/experience of ASD is beneficial
