SEND TA/Teaching Assistant Primary School

Where: Northfield, B31

Salary: £95-£100 a day

Hours of work: Full Time 8:AM-3:30PM

Monday- Friday TERM TIME ONLY, until the end of the academic year with the potential to continue in September.

Seeking Spirited Teaching Assistants

Monarch is teaming up with schools across Birmingham and actively searching for dedicated and enthusiastic professionals to join a vibrant teaching team in various inclusive all-age special schools. This is a rewarding opportunity to be a part of a supportive and forward-thinking team committed to positively impacting the lives of young individuals facing diverse challenges. You’ll closely engage with students who may be deaf, blind, or have profound multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).

You’ll be immersing students in interactive learning experiences outdoors, as well as guiding students in arts and crafts, music, and other sensory-based activities tailored to their needs. If you’re passionate about making a meaningful difference and enjoy dynamic teaching approaches, this opportunity could be perfect for you.

The following skills would be advantageous:

  • Proactive and full of determination
  • Open to practical or sensory ways of learning
  • Willing to use creativity to explore self-expression
  • Caring and attentive
  • Enthusiastic in their approach to learning

The ideal candidate would require:

  • A knowledge of PMLD, BSL or Makaton is a HUGE advantage
  • Experience working in a school or education-based setting preferred but not essential
  • Requirement for personal care
