SEND Teacher – Make a Real Difference Every Day
We are seeking a passionate and committed SEND Teacher to join a dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities department of a secondary school from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students with a wide range of learning difficulties, helping them achieve their academic potential and develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills.
The successful candidate will work closely with students requiring additional support and will play a key role in creating an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Applications are welcomed from experienced SEND teachers as well as teachers with a primary education background, who are looking to apply their skills within a specialist support setting.
The Role
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to students with a range of special educational needs.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual student requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the SEND department, support staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring targeted interventions lead to positive outcomes.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes confidence, engagement, and achievement.
- Support students with a variety of needs, including learning difficulties, communication needs, and additional educational requirements.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience working with children with SEND.
- Strong understanding of differentiation and inclusive teaching practices.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commitment to supporting students with additional needs to achieve their full potential.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
