Specialist Teaching Assistant, Wheatley, Oxfordshire

We are currently recruiting an experienced specialist Teaching Assistant based in Oxfordshire.

An excellent special school in Oxford area are looking for a full time teaching assistant to join their school this term and continue to work for the rest of the academic year. They are looking for an experienced individual to work on a full time basis with a pupil with severe learning difficulties, PMLD and communication needs.

Experience of supporting Additional Learning Needs is essential.

Training in Manual Handling is very beneficial and we are considering all applications for a support worker background as well.

As this is an SEND position and only applicants who have experience supporting additional needs will be considered for this position, however please get in touch to discuss other roles available in the area.

Job responsibilities:

• Assisting the class teacher with all activities
• Creating a positive environment where all pupils can excel and learn creatively
• Observing and assessing pupils development
