If you’re passionate about supporting children who have SEND & SEMH needs, this is the role for you. Use your knowledge, experience and expertise to work for us as an Education Specialist at Monarch Education.

Monarch Education are working alongside a Primary School in the Coventry area. This role will involve working 1:1 and will be term time only. Candidates must have relevant experience, for example in schools or with children/young adults.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have worked with SEND/SEMH pupils
  • Have experience working with young people
  • Be highly organised with excellent communication skills
  • Have a desire to work with, inspire and support children
  • Have good behaviour management skills
  • Have experience supporting children with additional needs (desirable not essential)
  • Be able to supply school or teaching references

Main Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with one pupil at a time (the pupil you work with may be the same each day)
  • Supporting a range of pupils, including those with additional needs and challenging behaviours
  • Supporting the class teacher and other teaching assistants in the day to day running of the class
  • Supporting children during lessons/school activities
  • Supporting staff/children during lunch and break times
  • Managing difficult behaviours
  • Delivering 1:1 or small group activities
  • Collecting evidence of children’s work to support their assessment
