SEN Teaching Assistant – M13 Area

Monarch Education is working in partnership with a primary academy in the M13 area of Manchester. They are looking to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant to work with pupils from EYFS to Year 6, to start as soon as possible. This role is full time, to start as soon as possible.

The school is well-resourced and offers a warm and welcoming environment for both staff and children. You will receive full support through the academy trust, with access to CPD, training, and resources.

This role is perfect if you have career aspirations in the fields of teaching, psychology, criminology, social work, probation services, care etc.

Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant include:

  • Providing one-on-one and group support to students with ASD, global developmental delays, and SEMH needs.
    * Working alongside teachers and other support staff.
    * Creating a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere.
    * Encouraging positive social interactions and emotional regulation.

Requirements of an SEN Teaching Assistant include:

  • A desire to work with children with special educational needs.
    * Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    * Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
    * A proactive approach.
