SEND Teaching Assistant

Specialist School in West Oxfordshire

This is a rewarding opportunity to join a specialist school in West Oxfordshire, dedicated to educating children and young people with severe and profound learning difficulties. The school is part of a respected trust and offers a flexible, inclusive approach to learning.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils aged 3-16 across a range of integrated settings, helping them achieve their personal and educational goals. The school values collaboration, respect for individuality, and inclusive practice.

This is a long-term role.

Pay: £88.92 – £110 a day (dependent on experience)

The Candidate will need:

  • Experience working in special education or with complex needs
  • Compassionate and adaptable approach
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils with learning, communication, and sensory needs
  • Assisting in personalised learning plans and activities
  • Promoting independence and life skills
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families
  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture
