Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant – Resource Base
Location: Birmingham, B19
Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)

Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join the Resource Base at a welcoming primary school in the B19 area of Birmingham. This full-time role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with complex needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEND needs within the Resource Base.
  • Assist with personal care routines in a respectful and sensitive manner.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCPs and individual learning plans.
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and academic development.
  • Be proactive and hands-on in creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Childcare-related qualification.
  • Previous experience working with SEND children in a resource base or similar setting is essential.
  • Comfortable and experienced in providing personal care.
  • Strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to supporting children with additional needs.
