We are excited to be recruiting for a Level 3 Qualified SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the B8 – Alum Rock area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a dedicated SEND team, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs across the school.

About the role:

  • Monday to Friday (term time only)
  • Competitive hourly rate
  • Based in Alum Rock (B8)
  • Working across the school, supporting children with a variety of SEND needs
  • Collaborating closely with class teachers and the SEND team

What we’re looking for:

We’re searching for a compassionate, proactive, and committed individual who has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

You will:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant / Childcare qualification (essential)
  • Have recent experience working with children with SEND (within the last 2 years, with references)
  • Be confident supporting a range of needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language)
  • Have a good understanding of how to adapt learning to meet individual needs
  • Be able to support pupils both 1:1 and in small groups
  • Work effectively as part of a team alongside teachers and SENCO
  • Be committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
  • Be reliable, flexible, and positive in your approach
  • Ideally be local to the area or able to travel easily
