Contract: Full time – temporary to permanent roles

About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable SEND Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The successful candidate will be comfortable working across both specialist SEND settings and mainstream schools, providing tailored support to help pupils achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Support pupils with a range of SEND needs including:

• Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• ADHD
• Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH)
• Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)

• Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs

Essential Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND.
• A good understanding of a variety of special educational needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The flexibility to work within both SEND specialist provisions and mainstream school environments.
